Membership in the Rother Legacy Society honors the witness of Blessed Stanley Rother by supporting the long-term mission of the Church through faithful stewardship. As a member of the Rother Legacy Society, you will be considered one of Rother's Helpers and will leave a lasting impact on the Church in Eastern Oklahoma. Your membership helps provide a legacy for future generations of Catholics and ensures that your cherished Catholic values and traditions continue to shape faith-filled communities. By joining, you become part of a community of faithful Catholics committed to stewardship, legacy, and sacrificial discipleship.
Ways to Give
Legacy gifts may be designated to support the general needs of the Diocese or a specific ministry, parish, or endowment. You may leave a percentage of your estate to the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma through your will or trust. You may also name the Diocese as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, insurance policy, or financial accounts, or leave real estate as a legacy. Another option is a charitable gift annuity, which provides fixed income for life with the remainder benefiting the Church. You may also establish a charitable remainder trust to provide income to you or your beneficiaries for life, with the remainder going to the Diocese.
Membership Benefits
Members of the Society are prayerfully remembered and pastorally stewarded throughout the year. A monthly Mass is offered at Holy Family Cathedral for all Rother's Helpers, and members receive a personal thank-you letter from Bishop Konderla. Members are also invited to a special Mass each year on July 28, the feast day of Blessed Stanley Rother. In addition, members are invited to a yearly Rother's Helpers service outing to support underserved community members, along with opportunities for spiritual formation and updates on the impact of legacy gifts.
How to Join
To become one of Rother's Helpers, simply include the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma in your estate plan. Membership is extended to individuals who notify the Diocese of a completed or intended planned gift. There is no minimum gift required, and all intentions are kept confidential.
The Blessed Stanley Rother Legacy Society is administered by the Diocese of Tulsa in collaboration with the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Oklahoma to ensure faithful stewardship, donor intent, and the enduring mission of the Church.
